I have been optimistic in the past. And I am going to vote for Obama, no question. But for the first time in a long time, I am with the pessimists on this one. Unless Obama has a 55-45 lead on the eve of the Election, I think it's going to go to McCain. I think tons... tons of white people are going to say they voted for Obama and vote for McCain. Also, there will be the usual factors: disenfranchisement, low voter turnout, etc...

Even the things that Obama has going for him will play against him. The polls will really, really lie on this election. Oh well, I try not to speculate about these things at all, because it is overly "meta" for me. If everyone who said, "I would vote, but why bother, the Republicans will just steal it..." would just vote instead of bitching, there would be no way the Republicans could steal it.

It's true! I will wait until Election Night to spring it! John McCain is Panamanian, he can't be President! I am stunned that no one checked.
